PhD student Shivani Mathur awarded the Emerald Literati Network Award for Excellence


PHFI-UKC are delighted to announce that PhD student Shivani Mathur is named on a paper that has been awarded the Emerald Literati Network Award for Excellence/Author of the Winner/Outstanding Paper Award 2015 for an article titled – ‘Enhancing mental health literacy in India to reduce stigma: the fountainhead to improve help-seeking behaviour’ in the Journal of Public Mental Health.

The article, written with Dr Subhadra Menon (Shivani’s India supervisor) describes the level of stigma measured in a cross-sectional knowledge, attitude and practice survey from five states in India, conducted in partnership with the National Mental Health Programme, Ministry of Health and family Welfare, Government of India. The paper has been made freely downloadable by the publishers for the entire year.
