PHFI-UKC would like to bring your attention to a monograph on oral health inequalities released last week by Prof. Kevin Fenton (Public Health England) and Prof. Sir Michael Marmot at the International Centre for Oral Health Inequalities Research and Policy (ICOHIRP).
The International Centre for Oral Health Inequalities Research and Policy (ICOHIRP) was formed in 2014 and is committed to tackling oral health inequalities both within and between countries, academics and policy makers from 15 countries have formed a global network to explore the nature and cause of oral health inequalities to inform future policy.
PHFI-UKC Career Development Research Fellow Dr. Manu Raj Mathur has been nominated from South Asia as the founding member of ICOHIRP and has contributed three chapters to this oral health monograph. The aim of this monograph is to present an overview of the state of knowledge on global oral health inequalities and the actions needed to address this major public health problem.
